LOOKING FOR BREEDER IN NEW YORK, NJ, CT, PA

I live on Long Island, NY and have been searching the web for days to try and find a Puggle breeder within driving distance of LI. Does anybody know of a breeder in the New York area (upstate or downstate). I would even drive to New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania (4 hours or so). I got burned flying a Mini Pin in from Colorado from a breeder who "snowed" me over the phone and I really want to see the puppies in their environment - the plane thing doesn't thrill me either. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks all.

Hi, I have a friend that runs a very small animal rescue. She travels to Philly every Saturday and pulls small dogs out of a shelter and places them in a variety of foster homes she has in place from friends and acquaintances she has met along the way. Her rescue is called Happy Tails and is out of Morrisville, PA. Anyway, she pulled a 6 month Pug Mix out of a shelter about 2 weeks ago and he is looking for a home. He is 6 months old, neutered and up to date on his shots. He is tons of fun, very playful, loves to jump in your lap and loves other dogs. He would be great with kids, especially kids that like to throw the ball for him! He is excellent in the car, crate trained and very sweet. She has him listed as a Pug/Bassett Hound mix, but he looks like a Puggle to me. If you know anyone that may be interested, please forward this message along. THis is the link to his information.
